Back in December, Chrysler began production of a much-anticipated hybrid version of its popular Pacifica minivan, and the news got many people excited. Unfortunately, this excitement soon turned to disappointment, as the rollout of the Pacifica hybrid to dealerships and customers (which was expected to begin earlier in the year with the rest of the 2017 models) was delayed for several months, leaving potential customers feeling excluded and ignored.
If you’re one of those people, we have some good news for you: After much delay, Chrysler has finally started shipping Pacifica hybrids, which should be arriving at a Chrysler dealership near you soon. Even better, the company also says that customers who have already placed an order for a Pacifica hybrid will be given priority, and that the company will be offering incentives for people who waited.
Pacifica Hybrid Details
The original gasoline engine version of the Pacifica was released last spring and quickly gained acclaim from customers and industry observers alike. Sales went through the roof, and the vehicle was named 2017 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year.
Naturally, the announcement of a hybrid version of one of the hottest new vehicles on the market was reason for lots of excitement, and only improved the Pacifica brand’s reputation with consumers; despite the delays of the hybrid version, sales for the Pacifica have remained steady and high.
For the hybrid version, specifically, there are some specs we can share. According to Chrysler, it is capable of getting 33 miles on a single charge and has a total range of 566 miles. When its electric power and gasoline power are combined, it has a range of 84 mpg. Additionally, the vehicle’s lithium-ion battery can be recharged in two hours with a 240-volt Level 2 charger.
Incentives for Pacifica Hybrid Buyers
Because of the delays in rolling out the Pacifica hybrid, customers who placed an order for one felt like they were left holding the bag. As a response to their justifiable concerns, Chrysler has announced that it will be offering anyone who ordered a hybrid version of a Pacifica before March 30 one of two different incentives: a $500 Visa gift card or a free Level 2 charger.
Customers can choose which of these “gestures of goodwill” they want, and the company has said it will be contacting customers soon to let them take advantage of the offer.
Obviously, the delays in the Pacifica hybrids’ arrival have left some people feeling discouraged. Now that we know they are on their way, however, it’s time to get excited about this amazing vehicle all over again. The Pacifica hybrid offers all the comfort and style of the acclaimed Pacifica model, with the added benefit of being more eco-friendly and giving owners the opportunity to save money on gasoline.
Vehicles like this don’t come along all that often; don’t miss the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of one of the most exciting vehicles, from any company, in years.
