Chrysler 300 Hits Edmunds Most Wanted List by 2018

Chrysler’s been on a roll with automotive critics of late, picking up plaudits and awards for its strides in turning out quality vehicles that consumers love to drive. The hits keep coming, and the Detroit automaker recently picked up a coveted endorsement from Edmunds when the respected automotive review site named the Chrysler 300 as one of its Most Wanted Vehicles for 2018.

2018 Chrysler 300

The Edmunds Most Wanted Award is given to vehicles representing 17 segments in the auto industry. The Chrysler 300 won the large car segment in Edmunds’ 2018 Most Wanted awards. The award is based on an analysis of sales data for the first nine months of 2017. Edmunds identified automobiles with the highest sales and lowest average days-to-turn. The Chrysler 300’s strong sales and consumer interest helped fuel its win.

The 2018 Chrysler 300 is shaping up to be a strong contender for the next year’s Edmunds Most Wanted awards. Chrysler has introduced a new trim level to the mix and has also upgraded technological options.

Trim Levels

For 2018, Chrysler added a new 300 Touring trim level as the entry-level trim for the 300. This base level trim has some very nice standard features, including heated mirrors, a rearview camera, dual-zone climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, eight-way power adjustable driver seat, 17-inch wheels, 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, two USB ports and more.

Even more generous features can be found at the vehicle’s upper trim levels—the 300 Touring L upgrades to 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, and a power adjustable passenger seat. At the 300S level, you get 20-inch wheels with performance tires, leather upholstery, sport-tuned suspension and other performance upgrades.

The 300 Limited offers heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, driver seat memory settings, and more. The top-shelf 300C offers heated and cooled cupholders, upgraded leather upholstery, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and other premium features.

The multiple trim levels of the 300 make it easy for consumers to get exactly the 300 they want and avoid paying extra for features they don’t need.

Performance

The standard engine for the Chrysler 300 is a V6 that cranks out 292 horsepower. The standard engine delivers a more-than-adequate amount of power, but, if you’d like a little more oomph, you can opt for a 5.7-liter V8 that generates 363 horsepower. The 300 handles decently on the road and has good braking power. Both engines provide smooth, reliable acceleration.

The Chrysler 300 has a very spacious and comfortable cabin. Big doors make entry easy, and the vehicle is high enough off the ground so you don’t have to stoop to get in the 300. In the cabin, the Chrysler 300 has quality seating and surfaces that give the vehicle a luxury feel. While in motion, the Chrysler 300 generates very little road or wind noise, providing drivers and passengers with a very composed ride.
